Vor vollem Haus präsentierte Renate Reich am 18. Jänner – ihrem Geburtstag – ihr neues Album „So Full Of Life“ mit ihrer angestammten Band, dem Renate Reich Fivetett im Radio Cafe.

Das neue Album, auf dem renommierten Jazzlabel ATS records erschienen, ist ein Spezielles geworden, und zwar in mehrerlei Hinsicht: zum einen enthält es ausschließlich ihre eigenen Kompositionen, zum anderen ist es ein Doppelalbum: es besteht es aus einer CD und einer DVD.

Die Aufnahmen im Mushroom Studio im November vergangenen Jahres wurden mitgefilmt und sind auf der auf DVD zu sehen und zu hören. Somit bekommt man einen intimen Einblick, wie die Musiker arbeiten, die Songs arrangieren und live darbieten. Das Album wurde zur Gänze live eingespielt und enthält praktisch keine Overdubs. Jazz Musik – ganz echt und lebendig – eben ein LIVE Erlebnis – wird hier auf einer DVD mitgeliefert.

Das Konzert am 18.1.18 wurde vom ORF mitgeschnitten und am 3.3.18 zur Gänze in der Ö1 Jazznacht gesendet. Auf dem Programm standen die Songs des neuen Albums und ihrer Vorgänger „Home“ und „Devil May Care“, auf dem speziell arrangierte Jazz-Standards zu hören sind.

The release concert of Renate Reichs new Album „So Full Of Life“ took place in the Radio Station ORF – Radio Cafe on January 18th, her birthday – in front of a crowded house with her Jazzband, the Renate Reich Fivetett.

The new album, released on the well known Jazz label ATS records, is a special one: all compositions are originals by the singer, and it consists of a CD and a DVD.

They recorded and filmed all the studio sessions for this album in November 2017, and watching the DVD you can see the way they work on their music, how they arrange and play it live. There are no overdubs made and so you have the impression of a real live concert in your living room.

The concert on Jan, 18th was recorded and fully broadcasted by ORF Radio on March 3rd – at Ö1 Jazznacht: all songs from the new album and some from the former ones, Originals and Jazz Standards, arranged in a very special way.
